Department: Operations Department – F&B

Rate Full-time: RM 2,500 - 3,000

Part-time: RM 10-14/hr

Location: Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Overall Job Objectives:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong product knowledge, a passion for coffee culture, and the ability to create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and ensure their satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages following company standards for taste, presentation, and consistency.
• Serve drinks directly to customers when required, ensuring prompt and courteous service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, counters, and dining/service space.
• Replenish ingredients, restock supplies, and support inventory management.
• Continuously expand product knowledge, including brewing methods and presentation techniques.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a smooth and enjoyable customer experience.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• 1–2 years of experience in coffee preparation, food & beverage service, or customer service preferred.
• Excellent communication and active listening skills.
• Polite, engaging, and customer-focused personality.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a passion for coffee and hospitality.
• Willing to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and cleaned properly according to health and safety guidelines.
• Meet or exceed sales targets through excellent customer service and suggesting additional items (e.g., pastries, snacks, and specialty drinks).
