Laboratory Assistant

Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the testing, sampling, and examination of construction materials in both field and laboratory settings.
• Transport material samples and ensure all required documentation is properly submitted to the laboratory.
• Record, compile, and support the analysis of test results in accordance with established procedures.
• Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and housekeeping of laboratory equipment.
• Support administrative tasks including documentation, reporting, and coordination with external parties.
• Assist with translation of documents when necessary.
• Carry out ad-hoc assignments and urgent tasks as required.

Requirements

• Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in construction materials testing or laboratory environment.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken) is required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel to project sites when required.
• Willing to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
