About the role

Gabungan AQRS Berhad is seeking a talented and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team in Kuantan Pahang. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across our construction sites.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Implementing and monitoring safety policies, procedures and training programmes to promote a culture of safety
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Providing safety leadership and guidance to site teams, subcontractors and visitors
• Maintaining comprehensive safety documentation and reporting to management
• Collaborating with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Site Safety Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry
• Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to respond to safety-related issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to drive continuous safety improvements
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in occupational health and safety, such as OSHA or IOSH
