Equipment Engineer

Description

Key Responsibilities & Areas of Ownership:

1. Maintenance Strategy & Execution

• Own the end-to-end maintenance process for assigned equipment, from planning and scheduling to execution, confirmation, and final acceptance.
• Develop and execute departmental maintenance plans, aligning daily activities with broader business objectives and development roadmaps.
• Manage external maintenance services, including vendor selection, work order management, on-site supervision, and quality verification to ensure compliance with standards.

2. Technical Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Analyze equipment performance data and failure modes to identify root causes of issues. Drive and own permanent corrective actions to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reduce Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
• Provide expert, data-driven recommendations for preventive/predictive maintenance content and critical spare part strategies. Lead the implementation of approved improvements.

3. Knowledge Leadership & Development

• Design and deliver technical training programs to upskill maintenance technicians and operations personnel.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing by documenting best practices, failure analyses, and lessons learned from maintenance activities.

4. Engineering & Project Support

• Serve as the primary technical consultant for equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations, ensuring maintainability and reliability are designed in.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, EHS) to support production goals and capital projects.

Qualifications & experience

• Bachelor degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical and Engineering
• Experience in equipment maintenance is preferred

• Proficient in Autocad
• Acceptance of overtime or shift work according to work schedule and emergency
• Fresh graduates are also welcome.
• Outstanding fresh graduates majoring in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, etc. are also welcome
• Good command of Malay, Mandarin and English. "Mandarin speaker will be an added advantage due to we need to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients."
