Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of Pintasan Saloma, one of Kuala Lumpur’s most iconic pedestrian bridges. The successful candidate will ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and visually appealing for the public at all times.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including lighting, structural elements, and public amenities
- Coordinate a multidisciplinary team including technicians, cleaners, and security staff
- Ensure all systems (electrical, lighting, surveillance, etc.) are functioning optimally
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules
- Manage cleaning, landscaping, and security services
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local authority requirements
- Conduct routine inspections and risk assessments
- Coordinate with contractors and service providers
- Manage facility budgets, expenses, and reporting
- Handle incident management and emergency response planning
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in facilities or building management (fresh graduate is welcome to apply)
- Good knowledge of maintenance systems, safety standards, and compliance
- Experience managing vendors and contractors
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle public-facing environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing public infrastructure, bridges, or high-traffic facilities
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
