Maintenance Technician

Department: Facilities / Building Management

Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of building maintenance and facilities operations. This includes both strategic and day-to-day maintenance activities to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the premises.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance for building facilities
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, utilities, and infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Monitor and coordinate work performed by external contractors and service providers
• Support fire safety systems maintenance, inspections, and emergency preparedness
• Oversee general building upkeep, including cleanliness and basic repairs
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service schedules
• Assist in space management and ensure facilities are used efficiently
• Report any safety hazards or operational issues to management

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant maintenance or technical experience
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Understanding of workplace safety standards and procedures
• Ability to handle tools, equipment, and maintenance tasks independently
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Skills

• Experience in building or facilities maintenance
• Knowledge of fire safety systems and building regulations
• Ability to coordinate with contractors and vendors
• Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
