Junior Quantity Surveyor

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to support costing, tendering, and project coordination for electrical engineering projects. You will be involved in preparing quotations, monitoring project costs, handling subcontractor claims, and supporting overall project commercial matters.

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Guidance and training will be provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION (JD)

• Assist in preparing quotations and tender submissions

• Prepare quantity take-off based on drawings and project requirements

• Request and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations

• Assist in project costing, budget monitoring, and material costing

• Prepare progress claims, variation orders (VO), and final accounts

• Verify supplier invoices and subcontractor claims

• Coordinate with project/site team regarding project progress and costing matters

• Maintain proper documentation for QS and contract-related records

• Attend site visits and meetings when required

• Support ad-hoc duties assigned by superior or management

JOB SPECIFICATION (JS)

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Candidates with 1 to 2 years of working experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in Electrical Engineering industry, will have an added advantage.

• Basic knowledge in tendering, costing, and contract administration.

• Able to read and understand construction and electrical drawings.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

• Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Experience in Electrical Engineering projects

• Knowledge in AutoCAD or QS-related software

• Experience handling VO, progress claim, or tender documentation
