Full job description
- The Senior Executive – Forwarding is responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end freight forwarding operations, ensuring efficient coordination of import and export shipments, compliance with regulatory requirements, and delivery of high-quality service to clients. This role also provides guidance to junior staff and supports operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full spectrum of import and export shipments (sea, air, and land)
- Oversee preparation and verification of shipping documentation
- Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, agents, hauliers, customs brokers, and customers
- Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with local and international regulations
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or operational issues
- Review and approve operational documentation and processes handled by junior staff
- Ensure accurate costing, quotation, and billing of shipments
- Handle key accounts and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide solutions for complex shipments and operational challenges
- Maintain proper records, filing systems, and audit readiness
- Support and guide junior executives to ensure smooth team operations
- Assist management in improving operational processes and efficiency
