Process Technician

Description

Minimum Requirements:

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or any related technical field.
• Interest in learning manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, bending, leak testing, or assembly.
• Basic ability to read engineering drawings.
• Know how to use SolidWorks for design-related activities
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
• Able to work in a fast‑paced production environment and follow instructions closely.

Key responsibilities: (Behaviors, Skills, Responsibilities)

• Assist in preparing and updating documents such as EI, Setup Sheets, WI, and etc.
• Support Engineers during machine setup, process trials, and new product introduction by carrying out simple tasks (measuring, recording data, preparing tools, etc.).
• Perform routine process checks on the shop floor (e.g., verifying machine parameters).
• Report abnormalities or equipment issues immediately to Engineers or Supervisors.
• Help implement approved process changes by updating labels, posting instructions, or assisting with trials.
• Use SolidWorks to carry out certain tasks as needed to support manufacturing processes, tooling, and engineering changes
• Work closely with Production Operators to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, tooling, jigs, and workflow.
• Participate in basic troubleshooting by gathering information and supporting Engineers in identifying root causes.
• Learn and understand the basics of machining, welding, bending, leak testing, and assembly processes over time.
• Identify opportunities for mistake-proofing and implement Poka Yoke strategies across manufacturing processes.
