Responsibility

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Supervisor to join our team. The Site Safety Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all safety procedures and protocols are adhered to on the construction and oil & gas site. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe working environment, preventing accidents, and ensuring compliance with all local safety regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company safety policies on-site.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and enforce safety procedures for all workers, subcontractors, and visitors on-site.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings to raise awareness and reinforce safety practices.
  • Coordinate and assist with the development and implementation of risk assessments, safe work procedures, and emergency response plans.
  • Investigate accidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure that safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) are available and being used correctly.
  • Provide safety training to new workers and maintain safety records and documentation.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure that all safety requirements are met in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Monitor the worksite to ensure that proper safety signage is displayed and that the work area remains hazard-free.
  • Assist in emergency response drills and ensure the team is trained on emergency procedures.
  • Conduct safety inductions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum of a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a safety role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Certifications:
  • CIDB Certification (Essential).
  • OGSP card (Essential).
  • Yellow Book (JKKP) is a must.
  • First Aid and Fire Safety training is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, local safety regulations, and hazard identification.
  • Ability to conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and accident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for conducting safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others to follow safety protocols.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Language: Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).
  • Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to relocate, travel and work on-site at different locations, as required.
  • Proactive attitude toward ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
